check out www.zyweb.com.
you can get a 30 free trial account, and so far I have had no problems using it with jaws.
Published content via my trial web site, in 3 minutes flat.

Wimps use builders, real men use text editors.

A goodbuilder is ewisoft website builder from www.ewisoft.com. It will put an add on your site, but It's well worth it, and it's free. It wouldn't hurt to learn html. That may help you. Web hosting, on the other hand, is hard to find.

I recommend learning HTML. all I use is notepad, save my pages as a .htm file and open it in firefox and boom a running website. and notepad/gedit in ubuntu is fully accessible. But years ago I used M$ front page which also worked well with jaws when it wanted to <shutters>

I'm trying to learn css, but all the tutorials seem to explain it in no certain terms. grrrr
html without css is like writing programs without cut and pace to recycle code in a 1000+ line program :P
Nothing like typing the same thing you've typed 30 lines above, only to do it again 133 lines down manually.
So, anyone have a link that explains css in a more concise manner?

I use
http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp

But, it's not very concise, just thorough.

If anyone's looking to learn html, it's very easy to learn, and for a basic website, it's very consistant. I learned html in about three weeks. If anyone needs help, let me know.

Another way of making websites is writing them in microsoft word and save as html. You can go to insert, hiperlink and make links etc. But there are things that i can't do in word for example a link to open in a separate window but for a basic website this should be a good enough way of doing it.

Yuck Nikos.

Msword produces the worst overhead in order to build it's websites.

Sometime in ms explorer go to the view menu and view the source you create with that garbage. I think you'll be surprised.

However, to be fair, you are right you can build a website with word.

Just my opinion.

Yes you are probably right. But because i don't know html reading the source it wouldn't make any sence to me lol.

Well, that's why I like website builders. It takes trial and error to find one that's accessible, but they get the job done.

Another alternative is arachniphilia, however that's spelled. You can find it at www.blind-geek-zone.net. You need to know html, but believe me, it's so easy to use.

Another option, is to find a host that has a cms on it like drupal or something like that. Those guys are very accessible. And web hosting hard to find? Na course it isn't. You do need to shop around, but there are some great hosts out there. I use www.ultrahost.us. You have to pay of course, but you get incredible customer service, and a bunch of stuff with fantastico, like the cms I just mentioned. With them it's just like clicking links adn filling out web forms, and your website can be up in like half a day.
hth,

The only reason web hosts are hard to find is because you have to worry about captchas when signing up for their service. I like html editors because you have little or no ads, and you can design the site however you want.

Download87, thanks for posting the geek zone url, it looks pretty good.

I tried arachnophilia a long time ago and got disgusted with its accessibility. Maybe I'll try it again.

I had no trouble with arachniphilia. It's an older program, but I like it.
